Ingredients
- 1/4 c. butter, softened
- 2 1/4 c. confectioners sugar
- 1 T. milk
- 1/8 t. almond extract
- 1 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 T. shortening
- 40 maraschino cherries
Directions
- Mix together butter, sugar, milk and almond extract.
- Use about 1 T. of mixture and flatten it on your hand.
- Wrap this around cherry to coat.
- Melt chips and shortening in double boiler.
- Hold cherries by stems and dip into chocolate.
- Place in candy paper wrappers.
- Chill for 1/2 hour.
